About the workshop

In 7-10 April 2025, The Anthropocene Laboratory hosted the Empirics of Hope Assessment Workshop. During the time we held this workshop, progress has been underway for scientific papers that the group are preparing, resulting in preliminary analyses. Leveraging on the diverse expertise of the workshop participants, the Empirics of Hope team reconvened and continued the synergy we have built so far.

In this workshop, we consolidated insights, explored ways to advance current analysis, for example, by refining the methodology and engaging with current key theoretical debates in different disciplines, and discussed tasks to move forward.
