Dianty is an interdisciplinary researcher in sustainability science. Her backgrounds are in development studies, political science, urban studies, and governance, with a PhD from Monash Sustainable Development Institute (2023). She has worked in public, private and non-profit sectors in Indonesia working on projects in social policy, social and technological innovation, and sustainability.

At the Anthropocene Laboratory, she leads the works on the Empirics of Hope topic, working alongside researchers, practitioners, educators, and artists with diverse yet synergistic perspectives. She is interested in building a collective for novel, daring perspectives to address complex societal challenges, bridging between the conceptual and the empirical, the pragmatic and the spirit of ideas, and between tensions and co-creations.
