Dorian Bassin is a research assistant at the Lab, working on the Anthropocene Diplomacy project. He holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University (2026). During his studies he did an internship and wrote his thesis at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, which focused on identifying patterns in preferences expressed during environmental treaty negotiations. He hold a BA in European Studies, majoring in European Economics, from the University of Amsterdam (2023). His BA thesis examined and critiqued the EU’s Circular Economy Action Plan. His main research interests are the intersections of sustainability with politics, international relations, and economics. He will work on the Anthropocene Diplomacy project to study paths towards enhancing global cooperation in the face of increasing turbulence and instability.
